ʻIolani Schoolʻs ʻĀina-Informatics Network represents a growing number of public, private and public charter schools in Hawaiʻi, engaged in genome science that centers on Hawaiʻi’s unique relationships to ‘āina, all while generating real data via a community science approach. From detecting environmental pathogens to investigating marine mammal strandings, our mobile lab curriculum seeks to engage students in cutting-edge DNA sequencing activities that support real-world research projects right here in Hawaiʻi. Join us to learn more about our growing network and upcoming projects.
